Postcards from Zurich

Earlier this month, I returned to Switzerland for an reunion hosted by On at its global headquarters. Back in 2022, I spent six months in Zurich as a Studio Photo & Video Intern, working on the Product Photography team and learning from one of the most exciting brands in sport.

Returning to the office and seeing familiar faces brought back a lot of great memories. It was a reminder of how influential that experience was, both professionally and personally.

I stayed in the city for a long weekend with friends, and while I was there, we took the opportunity to photograph the new Region Origins T-Shirt around some of my favourite spots in Zurich.

The images were captured across the city, from the Botanical Garden and the shores of Lake Zurich to the historic city centre and a boat trip across the water. They reflect many of the things I love about Zurich: the connection between city life and nature, the emphasis on movement, and the access to the outdoors that exists right on your doorstep.

In many ways, Zurich feels like a fitting place to photograph the first product released as part of Region's relaunch. It was during my time at On that I gained valuable experience working behind the scenes on product photography, content production, and brand storytelling—skills that continue to influence how I approach Region today.

Looking back, I realise how much the different chapters of my journey have shaped this next phase of the brand. Region may have started as a school project in Wiltshire, but the experiences, people, and places I've encountered along the way have all contributed to where it is today.

As the brand continues to grow, I want to document the places, landscapes, and communities that inspire us. Whether it's a city, a coastline, a mountain town, or somewhere completely unexpected, the idea is simple: capture Region in the places that matter.
