Region Origins: A Collaboration with Alice Constant
When I decided to bring Region back in 2026 after almost ten years on hold, I knew I didn't want to do it alone.
One of the things I learned during my studies at London College of Fashion and later through experiences at On, Red Bull and AlphaTauri was the value of collaboration. The best ideas often come from bringing different perspectives together.
That's exactly what happened with the Region Origins T-Shirt.
Reconnecting Through Design
I first met Alice when we were both working at KISKA, the brand and design agency based in Salzburg, Austria.
Interestingly, our paths only crossed briefly. Alice was in her final month after spending three years on the Apparel team, while I was just beginning my first month on the Marketing team.
After leaving KISKA, Alice returned to her hometown on the Opal Coast, France, where she established her own freelance design practice.
One day, while scrolling Instagram, I came across an automotive-inspired t-shirt and hoodie design she had created for a family member. I immediately loved the character of the artwork.
Seeing that project sparked an idea.
I reached out to ask whether she'd be interested in creating something for Region.
Thankfully, she connected with the story behind the brand and was excited to get involved.
Returning to the Roots
The result of our collaboration is the Region Origins T-Shirt.
The design pays homage to the earliest Region collections, which were heavily influenced by skateboarding and surfing culture. At the same time, it introduces a more refined creative approach shaped by everything that's happened since those early days.
The artwork features a series of hand-drawn symbols synonymous with the ocean, presented in a distinctive cobalt blue. Waves, palms, sea life and coastal references sit alongside playful interpretations of the Region name, creating a graphic that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
Alice also drew inspiration from her upbringing by the Opal Coast, France, where the ocean remains a central part of everyday life.
The result is a design that feels authentic to both of our stories.
More Than a T-Shirt
For me, this project represents more than just the first product of the Region relaunch.
It represents what I hope Region becomes moving forward: a platform for collaboration with talented designers, creatives and makers who share a love for design, culture and outdoor movement.
The Origins T-Shirt is made from 100% organic cotton and screen printed in London, reflecting our commitment to creating products with greater care and consideration.
Most importantly, it marks the beginning of a new chapter.
